Originally a quartet tune for the Steve Smith-Michael Zilber "remimagined, jazz standards, Vol. 1 CD" from 2003, this has been reworked as a mash-up inspired by Impressions and So What, taken through 12 keys and given a hip-hop meets post-bop treatment. After an exquisite "impressionist" piano intro by leading New York Pianist/Composer Mike Holober, the fierce groove kicks in, courtesy of Dave Liebman/Maynard Ferguson veteran Marko Marcinko on Drums. It features Christian McBride lead alto man Todd Bashore and Grammy nominee Alan Ferber on trombone, as well as stellar Drum work by Marko Marcinko of Dave Liebman/Maynard Ferguson acclaim
